About Us
Founded in 1957, the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society is a voluntary bar association whose mission is to balance justice and effectuate change. Our members are lawyers and judges from the Greater New Orleans area.
Greetings to you all:
It is an honor and privilege to lead the Greater New Orleans Louis A. Martinet Legal Society and be counted among the talented and influential people who have served as President of this great organization.
The Martinet Society’s history is long, rich, and full of stories of this group’s impact on the New Orleans Community. The question I ask myself often is “what story is Martinet telling today?” Since its founding in 1957, Martinet has evolved along side our city, state, and country. My goal this year is to ensure that Martinet continues to grow–in the right direction.
Under my administration, the Martinet Society plans to accomplish three specific goals: (1) add to and clearly define the benefits of membership; (2) execute our programs with organization and efficiency, and (3) lay the groundwork for continuity and maintaining the standard you all expect. This will be one of the most ambitious years you’ve seen from Martinet. We ask each of you to hold our feet to the fire in this regard.
